About NFN

Our Mission

The Neurodiverse Family Networks seeks to cultivate a positive and supportive community for families of all neurotypes and backgrounds by fostering connections between families, providing a collection of resources, and sharing personal stories.

Our Founder

Hi! I’m Jessica Rosenbloom, a mom, and wife in a neurodiverse family currently living in Philadelphia. Like yours, our little family has had to navigate a complex world catered to neurotypical individuals and families. The exhausting journey of therapies, IEPs, schooling, self-advocacy, lack of access to resources or information, amongst many other hurdles, while also feeling misunderstood and judged, has been isolating, to say the least. I founded The Neurodiverse Family Network in May 2021 with a mission to help connect families of ALL neurotypes and combat the loneliness and lack of support that many neurodivergent families feel. This is a brand new path for me—I’m excited to share my own families’ trajectory while hearing from others about their experiences.

As a trained social worker and nonprofit professional in a previous life, I worked in various educational and community development organizations. My priorities and goals shifted precipitously once my son was born in December of 2015, and I changed paths to stay home to raise him. As a recently diagnosed ADHD’er and highly sensitive person (HSP) who is prone to burnout and overstimulation, I had an extremely difficult time managing a career and a small child, so I threw all of my energy into being a stay-at-home mom.

Now that my son is elementary school age, I have more time and energy to develop my passion project – The Neurodiverse Family Network!
